Our team is united by a passion for physical fitness, emotional wellness, and change-making.

We are a social enterprise focused on the development of software designed to accompany traditional fitness equipment like stationary bicycles. The software will promote emotional regulation, creativity, learning, and healing for a wide end-user cross-section – starting with classrooms.

Scott Keesey

Chief Executive Officer

Scott has a B.Sc from Royal Roads University and has managed teams and projects in a consulting environment for 15 years.  He is a proven leader and a passionate well-being and happiness advocate. He is a performing musician, a life-long learner, and is a kite-sports and cycling enthusiast.

John Carson

Chief Innovation Officer

John is a University of Waterloo graduate and life-long advocate of active learning. John is a natural innovator with more than two decades of experience working in the health care and education sector bringing innovative solutions to market.

Melissa Croskery

Director of Therapies

Melissa is a bilingual Occupational Therapist who has spent the past 20 years helping people to regulate their bodies and their brains in order to be the best they can be. A graduate of the University of Ottawa, Melissa has spent the past 15 years living and working in the north providing consultation regarding self-regulation for kids.

Alex Milburn

Director of Product Development

Alex is an experienced software developer with a passion for learning and problem-solving. He is a B.Sc. graduate from Teesside University in the UK with more than 12 years of full-stack experience in web and application development.

Advisors

Travis is the founder and President of Kinduct — an Athlete Management System that consolidates medical and performance data for some of the world’s biggest and best-known professional sports teams, universities, brands, and Olympic Committees.

Travis holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from Dalhousie University and a Doctor of Chiropractic degree. A health care practitioner, Travis has dedicated his entire career to his passion for sparking innovation and driving constant improvement in the sport, health, and wellness industries. His work in these fields has been widely recognized, earning numerous awards including Atlantic Canada’s Innovator of the Year, Halifax Business Person of the Year, Atlantic Business Magazine Top 50 CEOs (inducted into Hall of Fame in 2018), ITAC Ingenious Award, and The Experiential Learning Award via Game Changers Awards and Halifax Partnership.

Outside of Kinduct, Travis finds many ways to give back to his community through coaching, serving on various boards and mentoring other sport tech startups. Travis enjoys spending family time at his cottage with his three children and wife, Margaret Taylor.

Tosh Southwick belongs to the wolf moiety and is a Citizen of Kluane First Nation. Tosh has worked in Governance, Education, Human Resources and Health for various First Nation Governments and organizations and advises DISCOVELO on indigenous reconciliation and allyship and First Nation partnerships. Tosh is a trained facilitator and knowledge sharer. She has worked with organizations across sectors to build and deliver relevant and culturally appropriate workshops and create safe spaces to explore complex topics. Most recently, in her previous role as the Associate Vice President of Indigenous Engagement and Reconciliation at Yukon University, Tosh oversaw the integration of First Nation ways of knowing and doing throughout the institution. Tosh acquired her B.A. with honours in Psychology from the University of Victoria and completed a Master’s in Education with the University of British Columbia.

Amanda received her Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology in 2015 from the University of Waterloo, with a specialization in the area of motivation/judgement and decision making. She is extremely passionate about endorsing and researching the emotional, physical and cognitive benefits that come along with physical exercise. Currently, she is employed at a fastly scaling Edu-tech company, leading a customer support team. In her spare time, she coaches club volleyball and enjoys rock climbing and mountain biking.

After graduating from the University of Waterloo’s Systems Design Engineering program, David started several high-tech business in Asia. He is currently president of Virtuix Inc., where he developed proprietary motion-sensing techniques for commercial VR entertainment systems.

Mike is an adventurer, entrepreneur, father, husband, traveller, food lover and bon vivant. Through his work for social entrepreneurs, he delivers workshops and bootcamps, does one-on-one consulting, and mentors entrepreneurs who seek to change the world through business. Mike has worked with hundreds of entrepreneurs working on amazing businesses and continues to learn about social enterprise every day.

Stephanie is passionate about contributing to an equitable and sustainable world where everyone feels valued and supported to live their best life. Her decorated athletic career includes 3 Paralympics, 19 Medals, 7 Gold, Multiple World Records. She is the current World Record holder in 2 events and was inducted into the Canadian Sports Hall of Fame in 2016. Stephanie received the Order of Canada in 2018 and is the current Chef de Mission for the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo.

Alfred Essa is VP of Analytics and Data Science at MacMillan Learning. His research focus is Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Advanced Data Visualizations. In his spare time, he enjoys running, scotch, blitz chess, and pontificating about Shakespeare.

Lisa Evans has been involved in education and mental health work with children, youth and families for over twenty years. She currently works as a Vice Principal and Counsellor at Takhini School in Whitehorse, Yukon and also as a Registered Psychologist and Registered Play Therapist in private practice. In 2018 Lisa was recognized by CAMH as one of Canada’s top 150 Mental Health Workers. Lisa is an avid runner, mountain biker, skier and general outdoor enthusiast. She is passionate about the power of exercise in helping children on their healing journeys.

She is Ambassador for EU Sustainability Week and has received multiple awards for her entrepreneurial endeavours.

francois

François has a Ph.D. and a Post-Doct in biomechanics from the Université de Montréal and the University of Waterloo. He was a competitive middle-distance runner and cyclist. François enjoys outdooring and fly-fishing (Catch & Release) in remote rivers. As a Professor in surgery and senior sports scientist for more than 25 years, he now focuses his research on integrating disabled people in sports activity and Paralympics athlete’s performance.
